Lion Packaging Inc. (“Lion Packaging”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through lionpackaging.ca, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, you may share your name, company name, website, email address, phone number, the product you are interested in, order quantity, packaging buying history and project details. Every field on our form is optional.
Information collected automatically. Our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use IP addresses to protect the site from spam and abuse, for example by limiting how many requests can be sent in an hour.
Cookies and browser storage. Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you choose a product or spec on one page before opening the quote form, your browser may keep that choice in session storage so the form can be pre-filled. It is cleared when you close the tab.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes, proofs and production timelines.
- To follow up about your request and, if you become a customer, to manage your orders.
- To protect our website from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we only email you about your request unless you ask us to keep in touch.
3. How we store and share information
Quote requests are emailed to our team, and a copy is kept in a protected log on our web hosting account so that no request is lost if email fails.
We use service providers to run our website and email, including our web host and our email provider. They process information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws. We may also share information where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including normal business and legal record-keeping, and then delete it.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@lionpackaging.ca. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to stored enquiries. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
