What is a lay flat pouch?
A lay flat pouch, also called a three-side-seal or flat pouch, is sealed on three sides, filled through the top and then sealed shut. With no bottom gusset it lies flat, which makes it ideal for sachets, single servings, samples and products sold on peg hooks.
Lay flat pouches use less material than gusseted bags and ship and store efficiently. Add a resealable zipper for multi-use packs, a tear notch for easy opening and a hang hole for retail display. Certified child-resistant versions are available for edibles and other regulated products.

What is the difference between lay flat and stand-up pouches?
A stand-up pouch has a bottom gusset that opens into a base so it stands on the shelf. A lay flat pouch has no gusset, so it lies flat or hangs on a peg. Lay flat pouches use less material and suit smaller fills and samples.
Can lay flat pouches be child-resistant?
Yes. Our certified child-resistant pouches are available in lay-flat designs for edibles and other regulated products.
Are lay flat pouches resealable?
They can be. Add a press-to-close zipper for multi-use products, or leave it off for single-use sachets that tear open at the notch.
